Founder | Maternal Health Advocate | Perinatal Navigator | Workforce Development Leader
Rosalee Henry is the Founder and Executive Director of Rosalee Cares, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting underserved mothers, pregnant teens, and aging adults through postpartum care, caregiver support, and community workforce development. With over two decades of hands-on experience in newborn care, postpartum support, caregiver empowerment, and maternal health advocacy, Rosalee has become a guiding voice for families navigating the most tender seasons of life.
Her leadership is rooted in real-life experience — both personal and professional — and in a deep belief that care changes outcomes.
Rosalee began her path as a caregiver in 2002, expanding her commitment into postpartum care and newborn support as she witnessed firsthand how families struggle once hospital care ends. Determined to bring change, she became trained through C.A.P.P.A. to serve mothers as a postpartum doula and later continued her education by completing the Perinatal Patient Navigator certification at Morehouse School of Medicine.
She has cared for hundreds of families, including singles, twins, and triplets, both domestically and internationally — always with compassion, dignity, and cultural sensitivity at the center of her work.
Her mission grew beyond hands-on care toward community impact, advocacy, and training the next generation of doulas, caregivers, and community health workers. Today, Rosalee is not only a doula — she is a bridge, connecting families to support, empowering caregivers to earn sustainable income, and helping communities reduce preventable maternal health challenges.
